Father John Olliver  25 August 1943 - 13 November 2014 We are very sad to announce that our Parish Priest, Fr John Olliver died peacefully and prayerfully on 13th November 2014. He was surrounded by the warmth and love of his family. The parish is supported by the other churches in and around Oxted and Warlingham and by the witness of so many parishioners on the way in which Fr John touched their lives with his message of God’s healing love. If you would like to add your memories, a book of condolence is available in the Lady Chapel at All Saints and at St Ambrose. We have now received confirmation from the family that Fr John’s funeral will be at 11.00 am on Wednesday 10th December at St Joseph’s, Redhill.   A reception to which all are welcome will be held at the new hall at St Joseph’s.  A committal will be held at the crematorium later in the afternoon in the strict intimacy of his family members. There should be no flowers but donations will be towards a local cause reflecting Fr John’s care for young people. Fr John will be received into All Saints’, Oxted on Tuesday 9th December and there will be a Vigil mass at 7.30 pm followed by watching overnight.  If you are available, please could you let Michael White-Howeles know what time you are able to be present. The parish will organise a coach from St Ambrose and All Saints to go take people who would like to attend the funeral as parking at St Joseph's is limited and the journey is not that straightforward.  A list for people wanting to go to Fr John’s funeral by coach will be available after Mass this weekend. Fr John’s wishes were to have his ashes interred in the rose garden in Oxted cemetery.  There will also be a memorial celebration of his life in February.   .
