BaptismsBaptism welcomes people into the church. For infants it involves a short preparation course for the parents, followed by baptism usually on a Saturday or during Sunday Mass at one of the parish churches. For children or adults seeking baptism or reception into the Church in our parish, please contact either Ann Moran or the parish office. First Holy CommunionPreparation begins in the autumn term, for those wishing to make their first holy communion who are in Year 3 (7 years or older), leading to the celebration usually in May or June of the following year. Registration of children is normally required by the end of August. Please contact the parish office. ReconciliationThe sacrament of reconciliation is available on request. Usually during Advent and Lent, the sacrament is available after weekday morning Masses and special services of reconciliation are held on specific times in local Catholic Churches. ConfirmationConfirmation is normally held once a year for young people in the parish, normally in May or June. Confirmation classes usually commence in December. The classes are aimed at young people 14 - 15 years of age, typically in year 10 at school. People who wish to make their confirmation should contact Louise Redferne or the parish office. MarriagesIn accordance with diocesan regulations, couples seeking to get married at All Saints Church or St Ambrose Church must give at least six months notice and will be required to attend a number of sessions to prepare for marriage.
